Regular members can be identified by the following title colours: Elite members who have acquired 5000 reputation and whose post count is greater than 500 have this title colour. Contributing member status |
When you first join the site you do so as a newbie. Newbies have access to most of the site, but cannot view the following areas:
See the reputation FAQ for more info. |
How do I become a contributing member? |
You must have a postcount of at least 20, and have at least 45 reputation to become a full member. Once you have reached this, the promotion script can take up to 20 minutes to run. When your name turns green, you're a full member! |
VIPs |
Regular members are promoted to VIP when they gain 1000 reputation, and have at least 100 posts. The reputation requirement used to be 200, so you may see some older VIPs with less than 1000 rep. Rest assured they are not cheating. =)p
VIP status has no immediate benefits, although it does allow you to lord your supremacy over the lowly regular members. Just don't do it too much. |
